Sleeved Waistcoat

This is the most commonly seen garment for men of the mid 18th century. The sleeved waistcoat was the choice of "jacket" of the working class. This can be worn alone or under a coat. It is fully lined and has functional pockets. We offer this in wool or cotton or linen .

Linen w/white metalbuttons - $150
Stock Wool  w/ white metal buttons $ 155

I designed this garment from the 1740s sleeved waistcoat as seen in Linda Baumgarten's Eighteenth Century Clothing, Diderot's Encyclopedia Of The Trades "Blacksmith" and Catch Penny Art of Carver and Bowles.
